The XLight is interlocked with the stretcher by means of quick-release fasteners. The switches of both units are synchronized with each other and easily accessible for intuitive control of the 3 modes. Each unit has three high-power LEDs with different orientation and function:

-Mode 1:       50% brightness (path + surroundings)
-Mode 2:      100% brightness (path)
-Mode 3:      warning light (path continuously 50% + flashing white/yellow)

Each unit is equipped with its own control system and battery. The LiFePO4 battery provides up to 24 hours of continuous light.

The XLight was dynamically tested according to DIN 1789 (10g / 5 axes).

The system achieves IP65 protection and has been successfully dynamically tested in accordance with DIN 1789 (10g / 5 axes). For the XLight, Rule 1 of Annex VIII of Regulation (EU) 2017/745 (MDR) is applicable and it is therefore a class I medical device.
